The Press Secretary for Vice President and NPP Presidential Candidate, Dr. Augustine Blay, has urged young Ghanaians to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s digitalization plan.
He believes that this policy is essential for creating jobs, boosting economic growth, and providing real solutions to Ghana’s struggling economy.
During the first Gen Z Spaces event on X, Dr. Blay discussed the NPP’s digitalization policies and their goal of transforming Ghana into a digital hub.
He emphasized that the digitalization agenda will create a supportive environment for young people to take advantage of new opportunities in the sector.
Dr. Blay pointed out that opportunities arise in areas where challenges exist, and since young people are often on their phones, they can use this to their benefit.
He highlighted a key achievement of the Bawumia/Napo digital initiative: the launch of the CitizenApp, which consolidates all digitized public services into one platform, making it easier for Ghanaians to access government services.
He explained that the CitizenApp aims to provide a smooth experience for users by integrating various government services. Tasks like registering a newborn, applying for a passport or driver’s license, renewing an NHIS card, filing taxes, or searching for jobs can now be done with just a few clicks on a mobile device or computer.
Dr. Blay indicated that the app is one of the major digital drives that the party is putting in place to move the country into the digital hub and employed the young generation to welcome Dr. Bawumia policies and vote massively for the NPP in the December7, election.
The conversation were centered on how young Ghanaians can benefit from the digital agenda of the NPP, where he took the opportunity to educate the GenZ to rally their peers to vote for the NPP to realise the dream and implement all the good policies of the party.
